ABOUT US

Livelihood Initiatives for Empowerment is a trust incorporated in 2008, and working in the skill development and entrepreneurship training space since 2012, after a three year gestation period.

We have a Core team with individual experiences cumulating to 60 years in the social development sector, having worked with / consulted leading organisations in the skill development space in the country.

We are a specialised skill development NGO undertaking livelihood programs feasibility research, livelihood mapping, program design, implementation and management consulting services.

We work in partnership with government agencies, corporate partners, national and multinational development organisations to work for the poor and underprivileged Indian youth.

To bridge social, economic and digital divide through livelihood and skill development programs and by connecting industry and businesses to communities.

OUR MISSION

Systematically, through skills and entrepreneurship training and development, alleviate unemployment and unemployability in rural areas and hinterlands of the country.

OUR VALUES

To achieve this through innovation and reach, inclusion and empowerment, impact and sustainability.

OUR GOAL

To reach 100,000 youth through skill training for wage employment and 20,000 through entrepreneurship training by 2030 in India and other South Asian countries.
